Yes — signing up is completely free. You only pay when you rent a tool. There are no subscription fees or monthly charges. Listers keep 95% of every rental, with a 5% platform fee that covers payment processing and dispute support.

All payments are processed securely through Toolr. Renters pay upfront when a booking is confirmed. Listers receive their payout automatically after the rental period ends and the tool is returned in good condition.

Toolr has a built-in dispute resolution process. Either party can raise a dispute through the app and our team will mediate to reach a fair outcome. We recommend listers photograph their tools before and after every rental.

All Toolr members go through identity verification before their first booking. You can also view a member's completed rental history and ratings before accepting or requesting a booking. You are never obligated to accept a request you are not comfortable with.

Absolutely. Your account works in both directions — browse and book tools from neighbors, and list your own tools simultaneously. Many Toolr users do both, offsetting rental costs with lister earnings.

Rental periods are flexible and set by each lister. You can rent for a single day, a weekend, a full week, or longer. Availability is displayed on the listing calendar so you can see open dates at a glance.

Cancellation policies are set by each lister and displayed on every listing page before you book. Cancellations made with sufficient notice typically receive a full or partial refund based on the lister's stated policy.

Toolr is available nationwide. Because rentals are peer-to-peer and coordinated locally, availability depends on listings in your specific area. The more neighbors who join, the better the local selection becomes.
